Woman Maoist nabbed in Odisha

Sambalpur, July 19:

A woman Maoist was arrested in Odisha’s Sambalpur district this morning.

Identified as Sumitra Kuanr, the woman, is believed to have been a senior cadre of the outlawed CPI-Maoist.

She was arrested by the police from Badabahal area.

Sumitra is the assistant commander of Sambalpur-Deogarh-Sundargarh Zone and there are five cases against her at different police stations in the district, police said.

Interrogation of the woman Maoist is on, police added.
