Woman PET found hanging inside room in Odisha, suicide note found

Nabarangpur: Body of a woman Physical Education Teacher (PET) was found hanging inside a room at Hatat Colony in Umerkote area of Odisha’s Nabarangpur district, today.

The deceased was identified as Tanuja Biswas. She was working as a PET at the Jamrunda Residential Girls’ High School.

According to reports, Tanuja’s father found her hanging inside the house after he returned from a local market in the morning.

On being informed, police reached the spot, recovered the body for post-mortem and initiated an investigation into the incident.

Though the reason behind the death was yet to be ascertained, it is being suspected that she took the extreme step of ending her life by hanging herself.

A note, suspected to have been written by Tanuja before her death, was found near the body. It has been mentioned in the note that no one should be held responsible for the death. The note has been seized by the police.
