Woman sells Odisha girl in Delhi on job pretext

Sundargarh: A woman allegedly sold a girl of Odisha’s Sundargarh district in Delhi on the pretext of providing her a job.

The victim, hailing from Kulba area under Kinjirkela police limits in the district, telephoned her brother yesterday and informed him that she was being physically tortured in Delhi.

The call got disconnected after a few seconds and callback to the telephone number was not possible, despite repeated attempts.

Father of the girl has lodged an FIR in this regard at the Kinjirkela police station. Police have started investigation into the matter and initiated efforts to rescue the girl.
