Woman shot dead in Odisha

Rairangpur, May 26:
Miscreants today shot dead a woman in Sanjaysijukala village under Bahalda police station limits in Odisha’s Mayurbhanj district.

The deceased woman has been identified as Manuku Majhi.
Villagers said three bike-borne miscreants fired at Manuku, who was grazing her goats near the village road early in the morning. Manaku who was shot in her head died on the spot.
Police suspect Manaku could have been murdered on suspicion of being a witch. Sniffer dog squad and scientific team of the police have arrived at the spot where the woman was murdered.
Police investigations are on.
