Woman tweets Odisha CM to have lost respect for him

Bhubaneswar: A tweet Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik received on Monday is certainly not the one which he would have ever expected.

Naveen’s party BJD organised a five-hour hartal across the State against over the steep hike in fuel prices but his party workers had allegedly harassed the general public including women on the streets who were on their way to offices, hospitals and railway stations.

One Sagarika Kar like many others faced the ordeal but what angered her much is she was with a cancer patient but despite her several requests the agitators didn’t spare her. The protestors not only made her to wait for hours but damaged her car in which an ailing old man was sitting.

The incident has left Sagarika heart-broken and wasting no time, she took to Twitter to explain harrowing experience tagging Naveen Patnaik.

“Dear CM, I m an woman.I was takin my father in law to hsptl.Your party workers attacked n damaged my car.U lost my respect,” the tweet reads.

Later speaking to reporters, a visibly upset Sagarika said, “My father-in-law is a cancer patient whom I was carrying in my car to medical. I requested them (protestors) to let me go but they stopped us and attacked my car.”

“I ventured out with a 81 yrs old patient, on a day claimed to be a peaceful protest. & Our CM talks about woman safety n security. Ashamed,” another tweet of the woman stated.

She didn’t stop here, rather what she wrote on the micro blogging site later will definitely be worrisome for BJD which will face elections in 2019.

She said BJD lost all votes from her family including hers.
