XIM to open second campus in Odisha’s Steel City

Xavier Institute of Management (XIM) will open its second campus at Odisha’s Steel City of Rourkela.

The decision was taken at a high level meeting presided over by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik at the State Secretariat here on Wednesday.

The Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) will provide all assistance for setting up of the second campus, official sources said.

Among others, Energy minister Pranab Prakash Das, chief secretary GC Pati, CMD, RSP and XIMB authorities were present at the meeting.

The decision of the state government is being seen as a move to assuage the hurt sentiments in the Steel City after it recommended the setting up of the proposed Indian Institute of Management (IIM) at Sambalpur.
