Yellow warning: Heavy to very heavy rain to lash Odisha in next 4 days

Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department’s (IMD) regional centre today issued Yellow Warning for several districts of north Odisha till September 24 in view of a cyclonic circulation over west-central Bay of Bengal and adjoining south-west Bay of Bengal off South Andhra Pradesh coast.

The MeT centre issued Yellow Warning indicating heavy rain likely for Kendrapara, Bhadrak, Puri, Jagatsinghpur and Khurda districts till 8.30 AM on September 24.

From 8.30 AM, September 24 till 8.30 AM September 25, the MeT centre issued heavy to very heavy rainfall alert for Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Jajpur, Bhadrak and Dhenkanal districts. Besides, heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at isolated places over the districts of Cuttack, Balasore, Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda and Ganjam.

From 8.30 AM, September 25 till 8.30 AM September 26, the weathermen issued Yellow Warning indicating heavy rainfall likely for Sundergarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Nuapada, Nabarangpur and Bargarh.

From 8.30 AM, September 26 till 8.30 AM September 27, Yellow Warning (heavy rainfall) has been issued for Sundergarh, Keonjhar and Gajapati districts.
