Bhubaneswar: Due to prevalent monsoon trough and cyclonic circulation, thunderstorm with lightning is very likely to occur at one or two places over 13 districts of Odisha during next 24 hours. India Meteorological Department (IMD) today issued Yellow Warning for the next five days.
In its mid-day bulletin, the IMD mentioned, “A cyclonic circulation is likely to emerge over Eastcentral Bay of Bengal and adjoining north Andaman Sea off Myanmar coast around 29th September. Under its influence, a low pressure area is likely to form over Eastcentral Bay of Bengal off Myanmar coast during subsequent 24 hours. Thereafter, it is likely to move northwestwards with possibility of gradual intensification. The cyclonic circulation over East Uttar Pradesh and adjoining Bihar at 3.1 km above mean sea level has become less marked.”
Light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at a few places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Nawarangpur, Kalahandi, Rayagada, Nuapada, Kandhamal, Gajapati, Sundargarh, Deogarh, Angul, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj and at one or two places over the rest districts of Odisha.
The highest maximum temperature of 35.3oC was recorded at Chandbali and the lowest minimum temperature of 22.0oC was recorded at Phulbani in the plains of Odisha.
