Yoga teacher killed in road mishap in city

Bhubaneswar, Apr 16:

A 49-year-old yoga teacher Chandramani Nayak in Odisha died in a road mishap at Rasulgarh Square here on Wednesday.

The deceased, a native of Nayagarh and presently staying in Saheed Nagar, was going on his bike to attend yoga classes when an oil tanker coming from the opposite side hit him. He died on the spot., eyewitnesses said.

Police rushed to the spot and seized the vehicle. The deceased was later taken to the capital Hospital for autopsy.

Meanwhile, police have also arrested the driver of the tanker. Police suspect the driver was dozing off leading to the accident.

This is the second road mishap at the busy square in the last four days.

Last Sunday, an 18 year girl Sasmita Sutar had died after a crane hit her while she was walking to her residence in Rasulgarh.
