Young couple’s intimate moments filmed by hotel staff in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: The Commissionrate Police today detained two staff of an OYO hotel here on charges of videographing intimate moments of a young couple and blackmailing the woman for ransom.

The matter came to light after the woman lodged a complaint at Nayapalli police station in this connection.

As per the complaint, the woman was staying in Sai Arya Residency for a couple of days. After returning to her house, she started receiving phone calls from a person on different numbers. He threatened the girl that he has captured pictures of her intimate moments and would make it viral if she does not give Rs 50,000 cash.

Later, she agreed to give him Rs 20,000 and informed her friends about the matter. When a staff of the hotel came to collect the money, the woman and her friends caught hold of him, handed him over to Nayapalli police and lodged a written complaint in this connection. After interrogation, the police detained another staff of the hotel and began an investigation into the incident.
