Youth hacked to death by elder brother in Odisha

Rourkela: A youth was hacked to death by his elder brother following a heated argument at Barkani area under Bandhamunda police limits in Rourkela last night.

The deceased person was identified as Soma Ekka.

The squabble between two siblings — Soma Ekka and his elder brother Koka Ekka — took place over purchase of mutton at village on Saturday night. After the argument turned uglier, Koka attacked his younger brother with a billhook following which Soma died on the spot.

The police detained the accused brother in the murder case.
