Youth held for carrying slaughtered cow bones in Odisha

Rourkela, May 24: 

An  18-year-old youth was arrested for carrying bones of a slaughtered cow by the Rajgangpur police in Odisha’s Sundargarh district today.

ArrestThe arrested youth, identified as Pascal Bangra (18) of Singda building area, was later forwarded to court.

As informed by HK Behera, Sub Inspector of Rajgangpur police station, some local youths of Barupada area under Rajgangpur police station found Pascal on the way to Barupada Akhada on a bike with a bag.

Suspecting  him, the local youths detained him. On checking his bag, they found the bones of a cow.

The youths later handed Pascal to the Rajgangpur police.

During interrogation, Pascal said some Muslims, after slaughtering a cow had given him the bones  to him to throw somewhere.

“We have seized seized his bike and  sent cow bones to the Veterinary department for test”, the SI said.
