Youth walks 40 km carrying parents in sling in Odisha

Baripada: Setting an example for today’s generations, a youth walked for 40 km in barefoot carrying his old parents in a sling in Odisha. The episode reminds the epic character of Shravan Kumar in Ramayan era.

The incident comes as a surprise for many.

According to reports, Kartik Singh (30) of Mohanpur village under Morada police limits started walk towards Baripada court carrying his father Gora Singh (70) and mother Malli (64) in a sling to appear in a case.

Thousands of spectators witnessed the scene on the court premises.

Reports said that Kartik has been fighting a case registered by the police ten years ago.
