The youth, identified as Hiru of Batharla village in Patanagarh tehsil in the district, was seen doing push ups atop the high-rise gate near the Public Works department office at Batharla Chhowk.
Patanagarh/Balangir: In a bizarre display of daredevilry, a youth was seen doing deadly stunts on top of the entrance gate of Patanagarh NAC in Odisha’s Balangir district today.
The youth, identified as Hiru of Batharla village in Patanagarh tehsil in the district, was seen doing push ups atop the high-rise gate near the Public Works department office at Batharla Chhowk.
In a video that has gone viral, Hiru was seen taking off his shoes and shirt and climbing the gate after which he started doing push ups on the narrow surface. Police, on getting information, immediately reached the place and tried to bring him down but to no avail. He later climbed down the gate after multiple attempts at convincing by locals and cops.
As per reports, Hiru was infamous in the area for resorting to such public antics in many such past incidents. He had reportedly been arrested for such behaviour as well. While he had sobered down after that, lately he had again resumed attention-seeking behaviour, sources said.
