Khariar (Nuapada): As many as 10 people fell sick after allegedly consuming 'wild' mushrooms in their meals here in Odisha's Nuapada district.

The victims were admitted to Khariar Sub-Divisional Hospital late on Monday night after they fell ill.

The victims have been identified as Chulamani Majhi, Lakshmidhar Majhi, Nilendri Majhi, Vaishnavi Majhi, Pinky Majhi, Reema Majhi, Debasish Majhi, Parshuram Majhi, Poornami Majhi and Hemakanti Dharua. All are the residents of Kirkita village under Khariar Block in Nuapada.

Till last report came in, 3 patients out of 10 were shifted to Nuapada District Headquarters Hospital after their health conditions worsened.

However, the condition of remaining 7 victims are stated to be stable.
