10-ft-long Indian rock python rescued from henhouse in Odisha

Malkangiri: An Indian rock python measuring about 10 feet in length was rescued from a henhouse in Odisha’s Malkangiri district today.

The reptile had entered inside the henhouse of one Ajay Buruda at Serpali village in the district for preying fowls.

Family members spotted the python this morning and informed the Snake Helpline. A team of the helpline reached the spot and rescued the snake.

The python was later handed over to Forest Department officials, who released it into a nearby forest.
