10-ft-long Indian rock python rescued from henhouse in Odisha’s Malkangiri

Malkangiri: An Indian rock python measuring about 10 feet in length was rescued from a henhouse in Odisha’s Malkangiri town late last night.

The reptile had entered inside the henhouse of one Banda Majhi at Jaypuriaguda here for preying fowls.

Family members spotted the python and informed the Snake Helpline. A team of the helpline led by Sneha reached the spot and rescued the snake.

The python was later handed over to Forest Department officials, who released it into a nearby forest.
