10-YO boy, 3 females among 5 test COVID-19 positive in Cuttack city

Cuttack:  Of the 29 fresh COVID-19 cases reported from Cuttack district in the last 24 hours, five, including a 10-year-old boy and three females belong to the Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC) area.

Of the five patients, three were under home quarantine, one under institutional quarantine and rest one is a local contact. Active surveillance, contact tracing  and sanitization drive in the concerned areas are underway, said the CMC.

Here’re details of the fresh 5 cases: 

 

Home Quarantine: 

-10-year-old male and 35-year-old female from Shankarpur colony, Badambadi, both belonging to same family and they had come in contact with a previous positive case from Acharya Harihar Regional Cancer Centre (AHRCC) .

-A 29-year-old female from Fandi Road, Manglabag. She is a COVID warrior.

Institutional Quarantine:

-A 25-year-old female. She was kept in the SCB Medical Isolation ward.

Local Contact 

-65-year-old male from Kanika Road

 

With  the fresh cases, the number of cases in the CMC area rose to 198, including 174 active cases. Besides, two patients have so far succumbed to the deadly virus in the city.
