100-bedded Covid hospital comes up in Odisha’s Puri

Puri: A 100-bedded Covid hospital has started functioning in Odisha’s Puri district. The facility was dedicated yesterday in the presence of the district Collector.

As many as 45 doctors and over 300 paramedics and other staffers have been deployed at the hospital.

Collector Balwant Singh informed that 60 beds at Gopabandhu Ayurvedic College and 40 beds at IDH have been arranged. A 100-bedded Covid Care Centre has been readied at Shree Jagannath Medical College for primary treatment of COVID-19 suspects, he said.

Highly symptomatic patients will be shifted to the Covid hospital from the Covid Care Centre, he added.
