105 more COVID-19 cases detected in Bhubaneswar; Details here

Bhubaneswar: The COVID-19 tally in Bhubaneswar surpassed 2600-mark with 105 new positive cases were reported in the State capital in the last 24 hours.

Out of 105 fresh cases, 59 have been detected from quarantine centres and 46 are local contacts, informed Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) today.

In quarantine centres, 9 more persons linked with an earlier prositive case at Nua Sahi under Nayapalli police limits have been infected with COVID-19. Also, 6 more cases linked with a previous positive case have been detected in Saheed Nagar area in Bhubaneswar.

With this, the total number of COVID-19 cases in Bhubaneswar rose to 2607, of which 1251 are active and 1339 patients have recovered from the disease so far.

Meanwhile, two more persons infected with the COVID-19 have died while undergoing treatment at COVID hospitals in Bhubaneswar. The death of patients due to COVID has been confirmed by the State Health & Family Welfare Department today. With two new fresh deaths due to COVID, the toll increased to 15 in the city.
