11 held, 7 tractors seized for illegal sand transportation in Cuttack
Cuttack: Commissionerate Police today seized seven tractors and detained 11 persons during raid at Gopalpur area on outskirts of Cuttack city for transporting sand illegally from a sand reach.
The tractor owners, drivers and persons operating the sand reach are among the accused persons detained in connection with the illegal transportation of sand.

Based on repeated allegations of massive irregularities in sand transportation activities, a special team of Cuttack Sadar Police conducted raid at the sand reach in Gopalpur area today morning.
Source said that the police found evidence of irregularities during raid at the site.
