11 more COVID-19 cases detected from Cuttack city; here’re details

Cuttack: Out of 38 new COVID-19 cases reported in last 24 hours in Cuttack district, 11 positive cases belong to Cuttack city, informed Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC) today.

Of fresh cases, 6 have been detected from institutional quarantine centres, 3 home quarantine cases and 2 are local contacts.

In institutional quarantine centres, while five infected persons have recent travel history to another district, one case is a patient of the SCB Medical College & Hospital, Cuttack.

Three cases have been reported from home quarantines, of which two including an 8-year-old girl are from Old Rausa Patna (both contact of an earlier reported positive case) and one case is a 54-year-old woman from Old Jagannath Road, Khapuria. She is the contact of an earlier reported positive case.

Meanwhile, two local cases have been detected from Buxi Bazaar area and Jobra area respectively.

With 11 new COVID-19 cases, the tally in the city rose to 334 with 139 active cases and 188 recoveries. Seven patients have succumbed to the virus in CMC area so far.
