11 Odisha districts get new SPs in major reshuffle in IPS cadre

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government promoted three IPS officers to the rank of DIG and appointed new SPs for as many as 11 districts in a major reshuffle in the police cadre today.

As per a notification issued by the Home department, 2009-batch IPS officer Akhilesvar Singh, who was working as Jagatsinghpur SP, has been promoted to the DIG rank and posted as DIG SAP.

2009-Batch IPS officer Brijesh Kumar Rai, who was working as Ganjam SP, has been transferred and posted as DIG, Angul after his promotion.

Similarly, Bhadrak SP Charansingh Meena (2009 batch) has been has been transferred and posted as DIG, Fire Service and Home guards after his promotion.

Balasore SP Sudhanshu Shekhar Mishra (2012 batch) has been transferred and posted as Angul SP. Similarly, Jajpur SP Rahul PR (2013 batch) has been shifted and posted as Jagatsinghpur SP, said the notification.

Angul SP Jagamohan Meena (2013 batch) has been shifted to Ganjam while Dhenkanal SP L. Divya (2013) batch has been posted as SP, Vigilance as part of the reshuffle in the IPS officers in the state.

Nuapada SP Pratyush Diwakar (2015 batch) has been shifted and posted as Sundargarh SP while Kandhamal SP Vinit Agarwal (2016 batch) has been transferred and posted as Jajpur SP, added the notification.

Koraput SP Varun Guntupalli (2016 batch) has been shifted and posted as Bhadrak SP while Sundargarh SP Sagarika Nath (2016 batch) has been transferred and posted as Balasore SP.

Baliguda SDPO Gundala Reddy (2019 batch) has been promoted as posted as Nuapada SP while Malkangiri SDPO Suvendu Patra (2019 batch) has been promoted and posted as Kandhamal SP, said the notification.

Kesinga SDPO Abhinav Sonkar (2019 batch) has been posted as Koraput SP after his promotion while Special Branch SP Gyana Ranjan Mohapatra (OPS) has been shifted and posted as Dhenkanal SP, added the notification.
