12-ft-long python rescued in Odisha’s Balasore

Balasore: A 12-feet-long python was rescued from Mirgini village in Nilagiri area of Odisha’s Balasore district, late last night.

The reptile, weighing around 24 kg, was spotted by locals when it was crossing road in the village.

On being informed by locals, Snake Helpline members reached the village and rescued the snake. It was later handed over to Forest Department officials, who released the python into Kuldiha forest.
