12 school students injured in bee attack in Odisha’s Bolangir, 1 critical

Khaprakhol: As many as 12 students became severely injured after being stung by a swarm of bees at a nodal high school in Khaprakhol under Sadar police limits of Bolangir district, today.

Health condition of a student among the injured is critical now, a doctor treating the student said.

According to a source, the children were celebrating Saraswati Puja at the school premises when, all of a sudden, they were attacked by a bee swarm. The children started running here and there.

However, 12 of them were stung by the bees leaving them severely injured. Headmaster of the high school immediately admitted the injured to a nearby hospital for treatment.

“Other students except one are out of danger now,” the school headmaster stated.
