128 new COVID-19 cases detected in Bhubaneswar; here’re details

Bhubaneswar: Out of 214 fresh COVID-19 cases in Khordha district, 128 positive cases have been detected in Bhubaneswar in the last 24 hours taking total count to 2735.

According to details shared by Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC), of 128 new cases, 85 have been reported from quarantine centres and 43 are local contacts.

Shockingly, 18 persons (all male) linked with an earlier positive case at a quarantine centre have been found positive for COVID-19 in the city.

Moreover, 3 employees of a media house are among the new infected in Bhubaneswar.

With detection of new cases, the number of active cases in the State capital now reached 1285. While the virus has claimed 15 lives so far, 1433 persons infected with the COVID-19 have been recovered from the disease.
