13,000 teachers to evaluate Matric answer sheets in Odisha

Cuttack: As many as 13,000 teachers have been designated as examiners to evaluate answer sheets of annual High School Certificate (HSC) examinations, conducted by the Board of Secondary Education (BSE) in Odisha.

The evaluation of the HSC (matriculation) answer sheets will commence on April 3 (Monday). As many as 13,000 examiners will evaluate the answer sheets at 55 evaluation centres across the state, said BSE, Odisha, Vice-President Nihar Ranjan Mohanty.

The examiners have been asked to report to their respective evaluation centres tomorrow morning. The District Education Officers (DEOs) have been told to take the necessary steps for the smooth evaluation of the answer sheets, Mohanty added.

The evaluation process will be completed within 10-12 days, he said.

Notably, the annual HSC examinations 2023, which began on March 10 across the state, concluded on March 20.

More than 5 lakh students appeared the examinations at 3,218 centres across Odisha. The BSE, Odisha, had set up 316 nodal centres for the safe custody of question papers.
