15-ft-long King Cobra rescued from house in Odisha’s Dhenkanal

Dhenkanal: A 15-ft-long King Cobra was rescued from a house in Hindol forest range of Dhenkanal district yesterday night.

The snake catcher rescued the giant venomous snake from residence of Jagabandhu Pradhan, a local of Kantamila village in the district.

According to reports, the members of Jagabandhu’s family were frightened after they spotted a 15-ft-long King Cobra at their home at around 7.30 pm on Tuesday. They immediately contacted a snake catcher namely Sushant Kumar Sahoo of Bantala area to rescue the snake from the house.

On receiving information, the snake catcher along with his three associates reached the house and cautiously rescued the snake from there.

The huge reptile was released into the wild in presence of Hindol forest range forest guard Manoj Kumar Behera and other forest officials yesterday night.
