15-year-old girl dies, 2 critical in lightning in Odisha’s Jagatsinghpur

Jagatsinghpur: In a tragic incident, a 15-year-old girl died while two others were injured in lightning at Naranpur village under Sadar police limits in Jagatsinghpur district this morning.

The deceased has been identified as Sujata Bhoi.

Sources said Sujata was sitting inside the thatched house, when the lightning struck her. Her family members rushed her to district headquarters hospital (DHH), where doctors declared her dead.

On receiving information, Jagatsinghpur police reached the spot and registered an unnatural death case in this connection.
