16 middlemen held for involvement in trafficking in Odisha’s Nuapada

Nuapada: The district police today arrested 16 middlemen and agents for their alleged involvement in illegal trafficking of migrant labourers from different blocks to outside the State.

Based on intelligence inputs, the police teams raided different places in Khariar, Khariar Road, Sinapali, Boden and Komna and arrested the middlemen, said Nuapada SP Vinit Agrawal in a presser on Saturday.

He added as per the directive of DGP BK Sharma the district police is keeping a vigil on the activities of middlemen and foiling the trafficking bids.
