Bhubaneswar: The COVID-19 toll increased to 974 in Odisha with 16 more deaths due to the virus in the last 24 hours, informed the State Government today.
“Regret to inform the demise of sixteen #COVID19 positive patients while under treatment in hospitals,” tweeted the State Health & Family Welfare (H&FW) Department.
The new deaths were reported from 7 districts. While 4 each died of COVID-19 in Khordha and Balasore districts in a single day, 2 each succumbed to the deadly virus in Kalahandi, Mayurbhanj and Nayagarh districts. One each died in Jharsuguda and Sundargarh districts.
Here’re details of 16 new deaths due to COVID-19 in Odisha:
1. A 50-year old male of Balasore district who was also suffering from Diabetes.
2. A 72-year old male of Balasore district who was also suffering from Diabetes & Hypertension.
3. A 72-year old male of Balasore district.
4. A 68-year old female of Balasore district who was also suffering from Diabetes & Hypertension.
5. A 39-year old male of Bhubaneswar.
6. A 61-year old male of Bhubaneswar.
7. An 88-year old male of Bhubaneswar who was also suffering from Diabetes & Hypertension.
8. A 71-year old male of Bhubaneswar who was also suffering from Diabetes.
9. A 60-year old female of Jharsuguda district who was also suffering from Diabetes.
10. A 52-year old male of Kalahandi district.
11. A 30-year old female of Kalahandi district.
12. A 92-year old male of Mayurbhanj district who was also suffering from Diabetes, Hypertension.
13. A 57-year old male of Mayurbhanj district who was also suffering from Hypertension.
14. A 70-year old male of Nayagarh district.
15. A 55-year old female of Nayagarh district.
16. A 54-year old male of Sundergarh district who was also suffering from Diabetes, Hypertension & Chronic Kidney Disease.
