16 passengers hurt after truck hits van on NH in Odisha’s Balasore

Soro: As many as 16 passengers were injured after a van carrying them was hit by a truck in Soro area on the National Highway (NH)-16 in Balasore district today.

All the injured persons have been admitted to the Soro CHC for treatment.

According to reports, the passenger vehicle (Force Traveller) carrying 16 youngsters including 12 women was enroute to Baripada from Bhubaneswar.

A goods truck allegedly hit the van from the front near Bidu Chhak under Soro police limits on the NH injuring all the passengers on the NH-16.

The locals rescued the injured people from the van and rushed them to the Soro CHC, from where one victim has been shifted to Balasore DHH.
