Bhubaneswar: Another 18 personnel belonging to NDRF and Fire Service have tested positive for COVID-19 in Odisha, informed State Information & Public Relations (I&PR) Department today.
The are among 179 new COVID-19 cases reported in last 24 hours in the State.
The personnel infected with the deadly virus had recently returned to the State from Cyclone AMPHAN duty in West Bengal. They tested positive at quarantine centre.
Yesterday, 11 personnel returned from Cyclone AMPHAN duty had tested positive in Odisha.
Today, 179 fresh cases have been reported in Odisha taking total count to 4856, of which 1543 are active. While 3297 patients have recovered, 11 have succumbed to the deadly virus in the State so far.
