18 places in Odisha record day temperature at 40 Degrees Celsius or above

Bhubaneswar: Mercury is on the rise at many places in Odisha and at least eighteen places of the State witnessed day temperature at 40 Degrees Celsius or above, today.

Baripada town recorded the highest day (maximum) temperature at 41.4 Degrees Celsius, followed by Bhubaneswar, Chandbali, and Nuapada each (41.2), Malkangiri (41.1), Boudh, Jharsuguda, Titilagarh, Jagatsinghpur, and Paralakhemundi each (41.0), Khordha, and Nayagarh each (40.5), Kendrapara (40.2) and Bhawanipatna, Bolangir, Jajpur, Balasore, and Bhadrak each (40.0).

Temperature forecast: The Maximum (day) temperature is likely to gradually rise by 4°C to 6°C at many places over the districts of Odisha during the next four to five days.
