198 more COVID-19 cases detected in Bhubaneswar; here’re details

Bhubaneswar: The COVID-19 cases reached 5487 with 1887 active numbers in Bhubaneswar after 198 fresh positive cases were reported in the last 24 hours.

Of new cases, 104 are from quarantine centres and 94 are local contacts, informed Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) today.

Two employees of AG Office, one employee of a media house, 7 employees of a security agency, 4 police personnel and 2 persons from Reserve Police Colony linked with earlier positive cases as well as two Railway officials with travel history to Delhi are among the quarantine cases tested positive for COVID-19 in the city.

Meanwhile, two COVID-19 patients undergoing treatment at COVID hospitals succumbed to the virus in the last 24 hours taking total death number to 27 in Bhubaneswar.

Besides, another 132 COVID-19 patients have recovered from the disease. With this, the number of recovered cases rose to 3567 so far.
