Nabarangpur: Following a spike in COVID-19 positive cases in the last couple of days, the district administration today declared a three-day shutdown in entire Nabarangpur district with effect from 7 PM on August 24.
The shutdown will remain force till morning of August 27.
Today, 43 fresh COVID-19 cases were reported in the district today with highest 20 being detected from the Nabarangpur Municipality area. All the asymptomatic cases, informed Collector Ajit Kumar Mishra.
While most of the patients have opted for home isolation and they will undergo treatment at their respective houses, others will be sent to COVID Care Centres for treatment, he added.
In the last 24 hours, 2292 sample were collected for RT-PCR and Rapid Antigen tests. So far, 35 750 tests have been conducted in the district. The district has reported 811 positive cases, including 325 active cases till date. Meanwhile, 483 patients have completely recovered from the disease and been discharged from hospitals.
