2 dead as tractor rams into house in Odisha

Rayagada: Tension prevailed at Tembaguda village under Padmapur police limits in Rayagada district today after a tractor rammed into a roadside house in the locality killing two persons on the spot.

The deceased have been identified as Narasingha Sabar and Lalu Bidika.

Sources said the tractor was engaged in a agriculture field near the village in the morning. On its way back around noon, one of its front wheels came off, for which the driver lost control over vehicle and it skidded off the road and rammed into a house.

Narasingha and Lulu, who were sitting in front of the house were crushed to death in the accident.

Fumed over the incident, some locals took to streets demanding compensation for family members of the deceased.

Later, a team of Padmapur police reached the protest spot to pacify the agitating villagers.
