2 employees of insurance company killed in Road mishap in Odisha’s Bargarh

Bhubaneswar: Two employees of a private insurance company were reportedly killed in a road mishap in Bargarh district of Odisha yesterday night.

The deceased have been identified as Sumant Debnath (30) and Kamlesh Sahu (24) of Sambalpur Sadar area.

The mishap took place while the duo was returning to Sambalpur on a bike after distributing gifts among the agents of the insurance company in Bargarh on the occasion of Diwali last night.

A coal-laden truck hit the bike near Debahal village under Attabira police limits in Bargarh. The duo died on the spot, sources said.

On being informed by the locals, police reached the spot and sent the body to Bargarh District Headquarters Hospital (DHH) for postmortem.

“We are probing the incident. The bodies of the deceased duo have been handed over to their families after autopsy,” said a police official.
