2 fraudsters avail Rs 3 Crore loan through forged documents in Odisha’s Rourkela, held

Rourkela: Two persons were arrested today for availing a loan to the tune of Rs 3 Crore by submitting fabricated documents under Udit Nagar police limits in Rourkela of Sundargarh district.

The arrested tricksters were identified as Abhaya Bhol from Chhend locality and his associate Dinesh Sahu from Fertiliser Colony in the district.

According to a police source, the accused duo was manipulating signatures, documents, and photos to fraudulently avail a hefty loan. The fake private firm had around 84 members, who had submitted forged documents. The members took around a total of Rs 3.16 Crore loan.

During an internal audit of the fake financial firm, it was ascertained that 84 members had submitted manipulated documents. Senior manager of the firm had lodged an FIR seeking police action.

Acting on the FIR of Arabinda Samal, Udit Nagar police arrested the fraudster duo.
