Bhubaneswar: Two persons from Odisha are among the 45 Indians killed in a major fire in Kuwait on Wednesday.
The two deceased persons from Odisha have been identified as Mahammad Jahur of Karadapalli village under Tigiria police limits in Cuttack district and Santosh Kumar Gouda of Ranajhalli village in Ganjam district.
At least 22 people from Kerala, seven from Tamil Nadu, three each from Andhra Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh, two from West Bengal and one each from Bihar, Haryana, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Punjab and Maharashtra were killed in the fire.
Notably, a fire broke out in a labour housing facility in the Mangaf area of Kuwait on Wednesday claiming at least 50 lives, out of which 45 were Indian nationals.
