Bhubaneswar: At least two persons died and 27 others sustained injuries in two separate road mishaps in Khordha and Bhadrak districts of Odisha today.
A mini truck rammed into a stationary truck on NH-16 near Chandpur bypass in Khordha district killing two persons and leaving two others injured. The deceased have been identified as Aparti Biswal and Jitendra Pradhan of Kuhudi village under Tangi police limits.
The injured ones have been admitted to the Tangi hospital for treatment.
In a similar incident, a Cuttack-bound bus and a truck collided head-on at Kuamara Chhak in Basudevpur area of Bhadrak district, as a result of which 25 passengers sustained injuries.
The victims were admitted to Basudevpur hospital and four of them were later shifted to the SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack as their condition deteriorated.
