Balasore: In a tragic incident, two persons died as an SUV carrying them rammed into a truck from the rear at Soro College Chhak in Odisha's Balasore district today.

The deceased have been identified as Sheikh Mortaza and Jamal Shah. According to reports, the ill-fated vehicle carrying two patients from Mukundpur in West Bengal was heading towards SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack.

The SUV hit a moving trailer truck from rear killing the two on the spot and injuring two others grievously.

On being informed, police reached the spot, recovered the bodies for post-mortem, rescued the victims and admitted them to Soro Community Health Centre for treatment. The injured ones were later shifted to the Balasore District Headquarters Hospital.
