2 killed as truck hits motorcycle in Odisha’s Angul

Angul: In a tragic incident, two persons died as an ash-laden truck hit a motorcycle on which they were travelling near Bajrakote village under Kaniha police limits in Odisha’s Angul district last night.

The deceased have been identified as Sanjay Behera (23) of Kuluma village under Rengali police limits and Lulu Dehury (22) of Hensamula village in Talcher area. Both died on the spot under the impact of the collision.

The mishap took place when the two were heading towards Kuluma from Bhubaneswari coal mine in Talcher. The driver of the truck fled the spot with the vehicle after the accident.

Police have recovered the bodies for post-mortem and started an investigation.
