2 youths drown in Birupa river in Odisha’s Cuttack

Bhubaneswar: Two youths drowned while taking bath in Birupa river in Odisha’s Cuttack district today.

The deceased have been identified as Krushna Chandra Sahu and Mayank Sahu of Choudwar area in Cuttack.

The two youths were swept away by strong currents while taking bath in the river in the afternoon.

The duo was later rescued by the locals in a critical condition. On being informed, Choudwar police reached the spot and sent the two youths to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack city for treatment.

However, they were declared dead on arrival by the doctors at SCB.
