2 youths held for making reels in front of moving train in Odisha’s Cuttack city

Bhubaneswar: Two youths reportedly arrested by the Railway Protection Force (RPF) for making reels in front of a moving train near Cuttack station in Odisha today.

The arrested duo was identified as Sheikh Sahil (22) of Rupali Square area in Odisha capital and Sheikh Sohail (19) of Athagarh area in Cuttack district.

The two arrested youths have been staying in a rented house in Odia Bazar area of the Silver City for last few months. They have opened a fast-food stall in the locality, sources said.

The duo reportedly caught making reels in front of a moving goods train near Cuttack Railway Station at around 2.45 pm today. The duo was later arrested by the RPF, sources added.

“The two youths were making reels on the railway tracks. A goods train coming from Paradip side was just 700 metres away from them,” said an official of the RPF.

RPF Inspector In-Charge (IIC) Anil Singh, meanwhile, urged the people not to make reels on railway tracks or in front of moving trains to avoid any untoward incident.
