2,000 new doctor posts created in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: The state government has created 2,000 additional posts of doctors in Odisha.

The state government has created 2,000 posts of Leave Training Reserve Medical Officers (LTRMOs) in the rank of Group-A (Junior Branch) of Odisha Medical and Health Services (OMHS) cadre, said an official.

According to sources, the posts of 50 LTRMOs have been created in each of the 30 district headquarters hospitals (DHHs) in Odisha.

“A total of 1,500 additional posts of doctors (LTRMOs) have been created in the DHHs,” said the official.

Besides, the government has created 15 posts of LTRMOs in each of the 32 sub-divisional hospitals in the state.

According to the official, the posts of 480 LTRMOs have been created in the sub-divisional hospitals of Athamalik, Pallahara, Talcher, Nilgiri, Patnagarh, Titlagarh, Padampur, Athagarh, Banki, Hindol, Kamakhyanagar, Aska, Bhanjanagar, Chhatrapur, Hinjilicut, Dharmagarh, Baliguda, Anandapur, Champua, Pattamundai, Karanjia, Rairangpur, Udala, Chitrakonda, Mathili, Umerkote, Khariar, Gunupur, Kuchinda, Rairakhol, Biramaharajpur and Bonai, said the official.

This apart, 20 posts of LTRMOs have been created in Rourkela Government Hospital (RGH) in Sundargarh district, he added.
