222 new COVID-19 infections detected in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: With detection of 222 fresh cases in last 24 hours, Odisha’s COVID-19 tally today further surged to 3,32,763.

Of the total fresh cases detected from 23 districts, 127 have been reported from different quarantine centres while 95 are local contact cases. Contact tracing and follow-up action is underway, said Information and Public Relation (I & PR ) Department today.

Angul district recorded highest 28 fresh cases followed by Sundargarh (24) and Jharsuguda (23) districts.

Currently, the number of total active cases in the state stands at 2,192 and recovered cases at 3,28,622.
