25 VSSUT students test COVID-19 positive

Sambalpur: Amid COVID upsurge scare, as many as 25 students of VSSUT (Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology), Burla, have tested positive for Coronavirus in Sambalpur district.

The fresh cases were detected in three hostels of the State-run university just in two days, informed the University source today.

The infected students are currently undergoing treatment at different hospitals.

Following detection of new positive cases on premises of the VSSUT, the Vice Chancellor urged the students not to enter into the campus as part of precautionary measures.

Last year, one of the professors of the premier educational institution had lost her husband to the COVID-19. Later, the woman professor was found positive for the virus.
