264 gms of brown sugar seized, two peddlers held in Odisha’s Khordha
Khordha: Cracking down against illegal drug trade, the police arrested two drug peddlers and seized 264 grams of brown sugar in Odisha’s Khordha district today afternoon.
Acting on reliable information, a team of police officials raided a house in Swpaneswara Sahi on the outskirts of Khordha. During search, a total of 264 grams of brown sugar was seized. Following this, two persons, Sushant Majhi alias Belia and Sarathi Nayak were arrested.
A police official said a KTM motorcycle, Rs 41,000 cash, items required to prepare pouches and weighing scale were also seized from the possession of the two accused. After registering a case, the police launched an investigation.
The two accused were sent for medical examination. They will be produced before the court tomorrow.
