2nd Vande Bharat Express for Odisha: Trial run conducted from Puri to Talcher today

Bhubaneswar: As Odisha is all set to get its second Vande Bharat Express train between Puri and Rourkela very soon, the trial run was conducted from Puri to Talcher today.

As per the schedule fixed by the Indian Railways, the trial run of the semi-high-speed train departed the Puri Railway Station at 9.30 am on September 11 (Monday). The train will reach Talcher at 12.30 pm.

The Puri-Rourkela Vande Bharat train will have stoppages at Puri, Khurda Road, Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Angul and Talcher Road during its trial run, informed a loco pilot today.

The eight-coach Vande Bharat Express train had reached Puri on September 1 from Chennai. It is likely to be flagged off by September 30.

As per media reports, the train will run six days a week except Saturday. It will cover a 505-km-long distance between Puri and Rourkela in 7.45 hours.

During the trial run, the train is expected to move with an average speed of 63.33 km-65.16 kmph.
